Land Surveying
Engineering and Construction
Stevenson Surveys offers specialised surveying services to the engineering/construction industry and can provide surveyors at very short notice.
Projects include major roads, railways, major bridges, dams, open cut mines, canal developments and power stations.
We can provide full survey management and staffing for projects or we can compliment the client's existing surveyors.
Stevenson Surveys has been engaged on some of the countries largest infrastructure projects such as the Gold Coast Motorway, Gateway Upgrade project in Brisbane and the Westlink M7 project in Sydney.
Topographical Surveys
Stevenson Surveys performs topographical surveys with either GPS or conventional Total Stations. This allows us to create Digital Terrain Models (DTMs) which are essential for any new developments or infrastructure projects. DTMs can also be used for progressive or final earthworks calculations.

3D Laser Scanning
3D Laser Scanning is a simple process which utilises a laser which rotates on both horizontal and vertical planes whilst emitting a laser beam. The machine records distances in millimetres every time the beam collides with an object. This is by far the most efficient way to generate CAD models for complex shapes or parts which require a high degree of accuracy.
Laser scanning of complex and large infrastructure provides complete and accurate 'as built' data which is faster, safer and more accurate than traditional survey. The applications for laser scanning are almost limitless and the following are some examples for its use.
